Embracing Chronic Illness with humor

One Day at a Time…

At Lovin' Spoonful in Tx Inc, we celebrate the unique journey of those living with chronic illnesses. With a sprinkle of sarcasm and a dash of humor, we focus on the spoon theory, reminding everyone that it's okay to prioritize self-care. Our community thrives on support, understanding, and a bit of laughter, creating a safe space for Spoonies to connect and share their experiences. Join us as we navigate this journey together, one spoonful at a time!

A note from our founder, Jessica

Hey Spoonies!

It’s Jessica. If you're here, you probably know what it's like to be told to "just rest" by someone who has no idea that you just used three spoons to unload the dishwasher.

For years, I navigated the confusing and often isolating world of chronic illness. I was tired, frustrated, and running on empty. Discovering the Spoon Theory wasn't just a lightbulb moment; it was a lifeline. It gave me a language to explain my reality and a framework to start reclaiming my life.

I knew I couldn't be the only one who felt this way. I wanted to build a community that gets it—a place where you could laugh about the absurdity of it all, share a win (like finally taking a shower!), and not have to constantly explain yourself.

That's why I brought together the amazing people you see below to create Lovin' Spoonful in Tx.

Our team is built on real, lived experience, a healthy dose of humor, and a sprinkle of sarcasm to get us through the tough days. Together, our mission is to provide you with practical tools, genuine support, and a reminder that it's always okay to prioritize your self-care. We're in this together, one spoonful at a time.
